The Epidemiological Bulletin released by the Municipal Health Secretariat on Saturday (12/12) recorded 19 confirmed cases of COVID-19, a number considered low, as it happens every weekend, and two deaths of patients affected by the disease.

In total, since the first confirmed case of the disease was recorded in March, Governador Valadares has 11,385 COVID-19 infections, resulting in 389 deaths.

The occupancy rate of the ICU COVID-19 SUS beds, in the Municipal Hospital and the Bom Samaritano Hospital, reached 96.6%. In private hospitals, such as Hospital Unimed and Hospital So Lucas, the rate remains at 100%.

Crowded streets

Even with the critical situation, the actions of the Conscious Mines program to combat the new coronavirus pandemic in Governador Valadares, as mentioned by the mayor’s office, in a note, still allow a large number of people on the streets.
