RIO – At least three people were fined on Monday on the first day of stricter social isolation measures, such as the prevention of the coronavirus in Niterói. The confinement in the city establishes a fine of R $ 180 for those who remain on the streets, beaches and squares, and will be valid until next Friday (15). In case of non-compliance with the rules, the fines range from R $ 649.64 to R $ 3,248.20 (in case of recurrence), and the establishment can be closed. The supervision and application of sanctions will be the responsibility of the agents of the Municipal Guard. The amounts raised will go to the Municipal Health Fund and the money will be invested in public beds for critically ill patients with the new coronavirus.
