The police will investigate the circumstances of murders of a man and his girlfriend, who was grvida, on the night of that Tuesday in Santa Luzia, in Grande BH. The crime occurred after a race with a private driver. The victims were shot and their bodies were burned. The driver of the vehicle was abandoned in Taquarau de Minas, where he was found in a state of shock. As of early Wednesday morning, no suspects had been found.
While conducting searches, the military received a call via 190 from Taquarau de Minas, in the central region of the state, reporting that a car theft victim had been abandoned on a highway. It was the driver, who was rescued by the city police.
In contact with the BH police, the man appeared scared, in shock and had trouble talking about what happened.
According to the prime minister, he said he worked as an app pilot, but also did private careers. Yesterday he received a call from a boy’s cell phone asking him to take him to Santa Luzia, to pick up his car that was being repaired. This passenger boarded with his girlfriend and the driver continued his journey guided by the boy.
The crime
Arriving near a supermarket on MG-020, the passenger asked him to follow a Palio that had been seen on the road. The driver obeyed and they ended up on a dirt road. When they got there, they were surprised by armed and hooded men who disembarked from the other car. They were joined by two other men with their faces covered.
According to the Military Police, the driver said they told him to get out of the car, and they hit him with a butt to the head and a kick to the stomach. The man was forced to lie on the ground and at that moment he heard shots.
The criminals ordered the victim to board the car with his head down, this time in the passenger seat. It was then that he realized that the couple had been shot inside the vehicle.
The driver’s car was a rented white Nissan March with a tracker. When questioned, the victim said she remembered going through a door on the way. Through the location tool, the police found the vehicle in the area of a farm in Santa Luzia.
In the police report it is said that the vehicle was totally set on fire, with two charred bodies inside. Very scared, the driver said that from there he would remain silent for fear of reprisals.
When making inquiries about the place, the military came across a man who claimed to be a resident and responsible for the farm. He said that he was not in the house at the possible moment when the crime was committed, but, according to the PM, he gave different versions about the fact that the doorman had the lock open. This man was not taken to the police station, but was qualified at the event. Therefore, according to the prime minister, there is a possibility that it will be activated during the investigations.
The Civil Police expertise was called. The driver was transferred to the Santa Luzia Emergency Unit (UPA). In addition to the car, the criminals took away a cell phone and a bank card payment machine. After being discharged from the health unit, he was transferred to the Planto Police Station in Santa Luzia.
