Coronavirus: Amazonas receives 13 health professionals from the SUS National Force | Amazon

Manaus / AM – The Ministry of Health sent 13 health professionals from the SUS National Force to combat the coronavirus in Manaus. On Thursday (23), four doctors, two physical therapists and seven nurses disembarked in the Amazon capital. Professionals must work at the Delphina Aziz Hospital, a reference in the treatment of the disease in the capital. On the 16th of this month, the State, which has the highest incidence coefficient of Covid-19, had already received the first 17 doctors and nurses, of which four continue to work in Manaus.

“This team comes from the SUS National Force to provide support. In the pandemic conditions in which we find ourselves, the Ministry of Health has the National Force that acts in disasters, catastrophes and distortions, precisely supporting the regions, working together with professionals, adding efforts with professionals here in the region ” , said the representative of the Ministry of Health, Leda Sobral.

Professionals come from Brasilia, where they received training focused on the notions of professional protection, to avoid contamination by the virus during patient care.

Amazonas was the first state to receive the reinforcement from the Ministry of Health, which will continue to send reinforcements to the State Government, helping to combat the virus in the health centers of the capital.
