Corinthians and Avaí Kindermann met again after the first match of the Brasileirão Femenino final was scoreless. Unlike the duel in Florianópolis, the match at Neo Química Arena had six goals, Timão beat Santa Catarina 4-2 and took the 2020 national team.

With the trophy in hand, Corinthians reaches the second Brazilian women’s championship since the team was also champion in 2018. This was the fourth consecutive final for Timão, where it should be remembered that in 2017 and 2019 the alvinegras were the other way around for Santos and Ferroviária , respectively. .

CORINTHIANS FIRST TIME OF GROWTH

With the same result in the first game, Corinthians and Avaí Kindermann started the game at full speed. Many athletes would run in search of the first goal, but always one or another attack blocked by the defense. But when there was an infraction, at seven minutes, Duda almost opened the scoring by kicking with his left foot from outside the area. The Corinthians goalkeeper, Lelê, saved by playing a corner.

During the match, it was very difficult for Corinthians to cross the Avaí barrier, which returned with all its athletes to give little chance of creation. Goalkeeper Barbara did little work until the middle of the first half. Avaí Kindermann, on the other hand, overtook his players and pushed the Alvinegro team out and when he had the ball, he went quickly to try to stand up and gave indications that he would dominate the duel.

But even with Barbara working little until then, when Corinthians had the chance, the effectiveness spoke louder. After a corner kick, Gabi Nunes appeared only in the small area to open the scoring in the 28th minute. From there, Timão got excited in the game and had Bárbara save two shots in a row, where shortly afterwards Arthur Elias’s team won another corner and repeated the goal tactic. New poll in the area and Gabi Zanotti was higher than opponents to expand the score in Neo Química Arena.

In the final stretch of the first half, Zanotti was about to make his second shot with a ready shot. The concierge Barbara appeared well again.

SECOND TIME OF A GAME WITH THREE GOALS

In the background of the break, Corinthians continued in attack and after two minutes Adriana scared Barbara with a shot from outside the area. Later Avaí took advantage of a foul near the corner on the right to decrease and try to return to the game. Six minutes into the game, Catyellen joined the area and Zoio appeared behind Timão to make the first for Avaí.

But Corinthians soon tried to throw a bucket of cold water at their opponents. The Alvinegras made a good plot, the ball reached Tamires, who crossed for Crivelari with a head. Barbara did a miracle and Gabi Zanotti rebounded again. The second half started to burn.

After Timão’s goal, Avaí arrived and had two more chances with Duda and Camila. In the first, Lelê saved and in the second the ball went over the top. At 25 minutes, after a good run by Corinthians, Gabi Portilho received in the area and kicked. Barbara saved, Zanotti kicked on the rebound and Barbara saved again until the defense cleared.

If Corinthians did not do it on the one hand, Avaí decreased on the other. At 33 minutes, Lelê received a beautiful shot from the defense, the ball arrived inside the area and the scorer kicked first in the corner of his namesake and goalkeeper Lelê. And didn’t Timão cool off Avaí’s reaction shortly after? Diany made a perfect pass over the top, Vic Albuquerque dominated and kicked to the back of the net and gave the final numbers.
