The macro-regions West me South Central de Minas will be able to reopen bars with live music, cinemas, parks, gyms and other establishments.
After 28 days in the Yellow Wave of the plane Conscious mines, the regions will become part of Green Wave. Green is the most advanced stage of the program created by the Government of Mines to resume economic activities in the state.

The Northern and Southern Triangle regions were already in this stage of reopening.

According to the advice of the State Government, the change was defined this Wednesday, at a meeting of the Extraordinary Committee COVID-19, after the analysis of the epidemiological indices.

The openings of the establishments must comply with the security protocols stipulated against the COVID-19 pandemic, which include standards of social distance and hygiene practices.

The other deliberate advances are for the Northern Triangle and Northwest macro-regions to advance to Onda Amarela, with permission to resume services such as bars and gyms.
In total, nine health macro-regions are part of the Yellow Wave, also including the South, Southeast, Center, Jequitinhonha, East, Southeast and Vale do Aço regions.
Governor Romeu Zema stressed that the changes are in line with the stability of the number of cases and deaths in the state, following the downward trend of these rates. Even so, the president highlighted the need for health care, such as the use of a mask and alcohol gel.
“We only had good news this time. No region retreated, that is, no region that was in the green wave turned yellow and no region that was in yellow retreated to red. What we had were only positive moves. The number of cases and the number of deaths in the state continues to decline, ”said the governor.
With the changes, only the Northeast macro-region remains in Onda Vermelha, which has the lowest number of municipalities with adherence to the Conscious Mines plan.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, Minas Gerais confirmed 2,989 COVID-19 cases and 91 deaths, reaching the total of 258,595 cases of the disease from March until now. According to the State Department of Health bulletin released today, 6,419 people died.

Conscious mines

According to the Government of Minas, 635 cities in Minas Gerais joined the Minas Consciente plan. Of the 732 municipalities with less than 30 thousand inhabitants, 435 had less than 50 cases of coronavirus per 100 thousand inhabitants in the last 14 days and are in a position to advance to Onda Amarela, regardless of the current situation of their respective macro and micro-regions of health.

The waves are defined by the Committee based on the incidence of COVID-19 in the locality, the service capacity and the speed of advance of the disease.

The number of waves that indicate what can be opened or closed in each region has been reduced in the new plan format. According to the government, the colors now function as a ‘traffic light’:

Red wave, when it is allowed to open only essential services;

Yellow wave, when non-essential services are also authorized;

Green Wave, which include non-essential services with a high risk of contagion.
