Comedian José Luiz Almeida da Silva, better known as Jotinha, died at the age of 52 on Thursday night (5). Jotinha had been in a coma, admitted to a private health unit in Santo Antônio de Jesus, in the holes of Bahia, since Tuesday (3), when he presented respiratory problems. This Thursday afternoon, the comedian’s official profile revealed that he was with Covid-19.
The post, showing the positive test result for the new coronavirus, was followed by the caption: “We just received the test result. Unfortunately, it was positive for Covid-19.”
Also this Thursday, Fábio Vilas-Boas affirmed that he had no way of transferring Jotinha to a hospital in the Bahian capital. The comment was in response to comedian Tirullipa, who called on social media for the authorities to transfer the man.
“Unfortunately Tirullipa, the clinical situation of our Jotinha is very serious and there are no conditions for the transfer in the air ICU to Salvador. Fortunately, the Incar Hospital, where he is interned in Santo Antônio de Jesús, has all the resources,” wrote the secretary . in a social network.
In March 2019, Jotinha suffered a heart attack and was admitted to a hospital in Elísio Medrado, a municipality that is 230 km from the capital of Bahia.
