Caixa Econômica Federal ends today (29) the stage of payment of emergency aid with the release of credit for 3.2 million Brazilians born in December, in cycle 6 of payments of the program. R $ 1.2 billion will be deposited in the digital accounts of the beneficiaries, which are not part of Bolsa Família. Those belonging to Bolsa Família have already received the last benefit according to the calendar and criteria of the social program.

Of the total, 50.3 thousand people will receive R $ 62.2 million from the portion of ordinary emergency assistance, in the amount of R $ 600 (R $ 1.2 thousand for mothers head of household). The rest, 3.2 million beneficiaries, will be covered with a portion of the emergency aid for R $ 300 (R $ 600 for mothers head of household), totaling R $ 1.1 billion.

The funds will be available in the digital social savings and can be used by the Caixa Tem application. With it it is possible to make purchases on the internet and on the machines of various commercial establishments, through the virtual debit card and QR Code. The beneficiary can also pay bills and receipts, such as water and telephone, through the application itself or in lotteries.

Calendar

The emergency aid payment schedule is organized into credit cycles in a digital social savings account and cash withdrawals. The beneficiaries receive the portion to which they are entitled in the period, according to the month of birth.

Withdrawals and transfers for those who receive the credit this Friday will be released as of January 27, 2021. From that date, the beneficiary may withdraw the emergency aid at the ATM, Caixa or lottery offices or use the application. Caixa has to transfer money from digital savings to accounts at other banks, without paying commissions.

The emergency aid – created in April by the federal government -, paid in five installments of R $ 600 or R $ 1,200, was extended until December 31, through Provisional Measure 1000. The emergency extension aid was paid up to four installments of R $ 300 each; in the case of single-parent mothers, the amount was R $ 600. Only those who have already benefited and are taking advantage of the new requirements established in the MP received the benefit.

Approximately 1.2 million beneficiaries who are only entitled to the December portion of the extension aid have received R $ 300 or R $ 600 since December 21. These are people who received the first shipment of emergency aid in July.

With today’s payment, Caixa completes the payment of resources for this public. Cash withdrawals and transfers through Caixa Tem are also available from the 21st for those born in January and February. For the other beneficiaries, follow the release schedule for cycles 5 and 6, starting on January 4.
