A BRT bus took the Avenida das Américas, near Guaratiba, Zona Oeste de Río this Wednesday night (10). The accident occurred near the Mato Alto station.

Firefighters from the Guaratiba barracks were called at 7:46 pm to provide assistance on Avenida das Américas, between the Mato Alto and Embrapa stations, in the West Zone of Rio.

Teams from the Military Police, from 27 BPM, were also dispatched to provide support on site. CET-Rio also reported that the region faces arrests towards Santa Cruz due to the accident, and the Operations Center added that Dom João VI Avenue is blocked by the accident.
