The list of employees of the Secretary of State for Health of Minas Gerais vaccinated against a COVID-19 it is already in the hands of the Legislative Assembly. This Thursday (March 11), the state deputies held the Parliamentary Investigation Commission (CPI) to investigate immunization.
According to the state government, 806 servers from the portfolio headed by Carlos Eduardo Amaral received the injections. However, at least until the definition of the president of the CPI, the document will not be released by the legislature.
Now, the leaders of the parliamentary blocs have five working days, counted from the publication of the CPI’s request in the Legislative Directory, to indicate the group’s components. The delivery of the list was confirmed by the government leader in the Assembly, Gustavo Valadares (PSDB), responsible for taking the document to the president of the Chamber, Agostinho Patrus (PV).
At a press conference, the Secretary of Health detailed the areas of the secretariat whose employees received the doses. This group includes secretariat, consultancies, undersecretaries, responsible for the transportation of supplies, workers from Rede Frio (where the ampoules are stored), warehouses and workers from the units of the Farmcia de Minas.
Carlos Eduardo Amaral, who was also vaccinated, said he did not see “illegality or immorality” in the act. He guaranteed that the action was supported by the protocols prepared by the Ministry of Health and affirmed that he had sent the data on the vaccination process of the servers to the federal government.
“Every vaccinated person must have their notification sent to the Ministry of Health. The vaccinometer that we consolidate in the state will take a turn in this, ”he said. That Wednesday (10), when commenting that it was one of those contemplated by the doses,
Amaral stated that the idea was to “set an example.” “I did field visits, I worked on the entire epidemic in person. In addition, it is important, in general, that we get vaccinated. I would not refrain from vaccinating to show that I was not vaccinated for any reason, “he added. this Thursday.
“This is a government that does not accept bad actions. If there was an error, mf or queer, the person responsible will be sanctioned. Now, I need to have a recount. With the list in hand, the Assembly and the Public Ministry will carry out this analysis, name by name, server by server, so that we can see or take responsibility, if, indeed, there was a crime or crime, ”said Gustavo Valadares. .
Amaral’s position irritated the deputies
Carlos Eduardo Amaral was in the Legislative Assembly that Wednesday, to be heard by the deputies. During the meeting, the parliamentarians asked him to present the list of those vaccinated. The secretary, however, claimed legal barriers to making the document available. The position irritated some politicians, who began to articulate the creation of the CPI.
Amaral’s refusal took the president of the legislature, Agostinho Patrus (PV), seriously. “When His Excellency does not deliver the list, or makes delivery difficult, he creates in the 77 deputies the certainty that there must be something wrong. If not, it would already be here, in everyone’s hands ”, he shot.
During the night, Governor Romeu Zema (Novo) used social networks to promise to send the list to the deputies. This Thursday, Sade’s secretary spoke again about the legal obstacles.
“The names of the servers can only be processed within the Public Power of the State and control and inspection bodies, since they are subject to the General Data Protection Law. That’s why we didn’t bring (the list) here ”.
CPI made official in less than 24 hours
State deputies began to talk about the possibility of creating the CPI even during the meeting with Amaral. In the middle of the afternoon the initiative was made official at a press conference. A few hours later, the 26 signatures required to submit the application were reached.
Less than 24 hours after the start of the movement, Agostinho Patrus authorized the opening of the investigation committee, with the approval of 39 of his 77 colleagues.
CPIs are formed to investigate allegations of wrongdoing. This commission has the powers of justice and, therefore, can summon suspects to make statements, hear witnesses and others related to the case in question. At the end of the work, the group of parliamentarians prepares a final report with the conclusions obtained during the investigation process.
In the Mine Assembly, CPIs can operate for 120 days. Later, it is possible to extend the work for another 60 days.
The group will also focus on the amounts applied in the fight against the pandemic, especially with regard to the opening of beds.
The commission already has a defined member
According to the Internal Regulations of the Legislative Assembly, Ulysses Gomes (PT), as the first signatory of the CPI request, has a guaranteed seat on the commission. Despite this, because he gave the initial guarantee, he cannot be president or rapporteur.
