Botafogo is coach again. The club issued an official note indicating that Ramón Díaz and the entire coaching staff are leaving. For the Argentine’s square, Botafogo will make Eduardo Barroca return to the technical position. This Friday he will do the last training session in Vitória and will start in Bota starting this Saturday.

Ramón Díaz did not manage Botafogo in any game. The day after being announced, the Argentine technician traveled to Paraguay, where he underwent surgery. The technician’s discharge, which was scheduled for this week, was postponed until December 7, because the health situation is less simple than imagined. Therefore, the club considered that there would be no more to wait, given the delicate situation at the table.
With Ramón’s team at the helm of Botafogo, there were three defeats in three games, all with Emiliano Díaz, son and assistant, on the edge of the field.
Eduardo Barroca arrives at Botafogo after a period of conquests in the base divisions and a step in the professionalism of the club. With good performance at the beginning of the stage that trained the professional, Barroca lasted almost six months in the position of coach in 2019. The coach’s first opportunity in a professional team had 10 wins, three draws and 14 losses, with 41% of success.
With slogans and defined game philosophy, Barroca fell in love with the fans, but after a bad sequence he could not stay in his position. He started very well, winning three of the first four matches of the Brazilian Championship, which gave him stability and immediate prestige.
