The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro intimidated the presenters William Bonner me Renata Vasconcellos, from TV Globo, declaring for the alleged crime of disobedience to the judicial decision in relation to publications that involve the investigation of the crackers in the Alerj office (Legislative Assembly of RJ) of Flávio Bolsonaro, the famous ‘Queiroz case’. TV Globo was contacted to comment on the case and has yet to comment. The broadcaster was legally barred from publishing classified information about the case, which involves Flávio Bolsonaro, son of President Jair Bolsonaro, and Fabrício Queiroz, a former aide to the senator. The testimonies were requested in the framework of a police investigation for alleged “disobedience to the judicial decision of loss or suspension of rights.”
The summons orders were issued by the delegate Pablo Dacosta Sartori on the afternoon of last Wednesday (2). According to the documents to which the UOL had access, Bonner and Renata are summoned to appear at the headquarters of the DRCI (Commissariat for the Suppression of Computer Crimes), in the Benfica neighborhood, in the north of Rio, next Wednesday (9).
Also according to the arrest warrants, if journalists do not appear without justification at the stipulated place, date and time, they will commit a “crime of disobedience, provided for in article 330 of the Penal Code.”
