The body of the hairdresser Edisa Soloni, 20, who died last weekend, after undergoing an aesthetic procedure, in a clinic in Bairro So Pedro, in Belo Horizonte, is in the Medical-Legal Institute. Edisa’s body was buried in the Saudade cemetery and was exhumed on Friday morning (18).

The purpose of the investigations is to determine the “cause of death.” It is already known, for example, that before being referred for the cosmetic procedure, the surgical risk examination indicated that she had heart problems. Despite the result, she was referred for an aesthetic procedure and a silicone graft in the buttocks.

In addition, the Civil Police await the report of the inspection of the clinic that will be carried out by the Sanitary Surveillance of the City of Belo Horizonte. So far, the investigations have collected the testimonies of the doctor responsible for the procedure and the anesthetist.

Documents

The Civil Police has already requested the Justice to temporarily suspend the operation of the clinic. According to information from the Municipal Secretary of Health, the aesthetic clinic is up to date with the documentation.

The police are expected to hear, in the next few days, the relatives of another 39-year-old patient who died as a result of the procedure, performed by the same doctor. This happened in 2011, however, in another clinic, where the surgeon worked.
