The president of the General Assembly of Vasco, Faués Jassus, Mussa, published a note in the first minutes of this Sunday morning. In the text, Mussa regrets the confusion that occurred in the election this Saturday and says that the decision of the president of the STJ, Humberto Martins, brought back the court order that provides for an online election next Saturday the 14th.
+ After suspension of the election, resumed in the absence of justice and removal of plaques, the election ends in a blackout
In the note, Mussa says that he has already started preparations for the online elections and promises to search for all the candidates: Alexandre Campello, Jorge Salgado, Julio Brant, Leven Siano and Sérgio Frias.
– This Presidency of the General Assembly will look for the candidates to dialogue and try to achieve some consensus around the AGM (Ordinary General Meeting) of 11/14/2020, whose preparatory acts, according to the judicial decision now restored, already have begun.

In recent weeks, the president of the General Assembly has received several criticisms from the candidates. The club’s president, Alexandre Campello, for example, said that Mussa is “senile and manipulated by Semper Vasco (Julio Brant’s group).”
In a meeting last Tuesday, four of the five candidates agreed to hold the hybrid election: Campello, Salgado, Leven Siano and Frias. Only Brant preferred to wait for the viability of the face-to-face and online elections on the same day. However, Mussa argues that there is no time for the hybrid election, since Vasco’s statute provides for the election in the first half of November.
+ The suspension of the lawsuit by the Justice generates confusion and fights in São Januário
On the same Tuesday, he requested that the election be held exclusively online and was attended by Judge Débora Maria Barbosa Sarmento, of the 7th Civil Court of Rio, who determined the election on the 14th. However, the candidate Leven Siano and the President of the Deliberative Council, Roberto Monteiro, appealed, accepted on Friday night by judge Camilo Ribeiro Ruliére, determining the claim this Saturday, in São Januário.

Mussa blamed Leven Siano and Monteiro for the confusingly interrupted Saturday election. The president of the General Assembly considered that there were “strange scenes”, with non-compliance with the health recommendations.
– At no time was the minimum distance of two meters guaranteed, either inside or outside the São Januário facilities. As anticipated, it was impossible to avoid the conduct prohibited by the recommendations of the SMS (Municipal Department of Health), especially the use of cell phones. And, inside the “Vasco da Gama” Gymnasium, the extractors were not working, not promoting the necessary air renewal, according to what the law requires – he said.
Finally, Mussa affirms that the decision of the president of the STJ, which suspended the face-to-face elections shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, put into effect the protection that provides for the online election on the 14th.
