After the presentation of the new risk map, which begins to take effect in the State as of next Monday (23), Governor Renato Casagrande announced new restrictions on some social activities. According to the governor, in this new phase of the pandemic, the measures enabled to contain the spread of the disease in the state may be changed every week.

The main changes occur in bars and restaurants in municipalities classified in Moderate risk (Vitória, Cariacica, Viana, Barra de São Francisco and Ecoporanga), which can operate from Monday to Saturday, until 10 pm. On Sundays these establishments must close their doors at 4 in the afternoon. According to Casagrande, the trade, for the moment, will not change, but care must be maintained.

“From now on, we have several activities for moderate risk that we allow. The store has more control, a store has a more controlled environment, which the owner, together with the employees, can and should control, wearing a mask, maintaining distance, hygiene. So it is controlled and, at this stage, we will not change moderate risk business activities, “said the governor.

“At the moment, the limitations are small. We are establishing it because it is not an environment that has been kept under control. There is a sign that more care must be taken, especially in places where masks have to be removed, and in restaurants and bars, that’s right. We have to proceed, “he explained.

In municipalities classified as Low Risk, such as Vila Velha and Serra, for example, the operation of bars and restaurants continues to be normal. Safety measures in relation to the coronavirus, such as the use of masks and social distancing, remain mandatory.

“With this map and what we discussed this week I can say that we are in a new phase. It is not just another wave, it is the first that started in March and has not finished yet. We are living a new phase of this first wave. We had growth in May, June, July. Then we start to have a slowdown. Now we are, as of October, November, growing again. We are growing, but it is not at the same intensity as the first phase, but although it is not, it is good for us to identify why we think we are in the growth phase, ”Casagrande said.

Corporate events

According to the governor, there was also a change in the rules for holding corporate events. Now, only corporate events of up to 300 people will be allowed in moderate risk cities.

Summer with restrictions

During his speech, Casagrande stressed that summer should be different, with much more caution and care.

“We will have to have a more contained summer. We will not have the vaccine this year, so it will have to be contained. When the vaccine is available it will not be able to reach people at the same time, we do not know how the government will coordinate a national health plan.” . immunization, but we are aware that we must live a good part of 2021 while still managing the pandemic. We will have to be much more cautious, much more careful, ”said the governor.

Schools

Due to the new risk classification in Vitória, Cariacica, Viana, Barra de São Francisco and Ecoporanga, face-to-face classes in these municipalities must be suspended, starting next Monday (23), and can only take place remotely.
