Bahia registered 5,546 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (Covid-19). Taking into account the number of 1,384 patients recovered and 198 deaths, 3,964 people remain controlled by epidemiological surveillance and with symptoms of Covid-19, which are called active cases.
The epidemiological bulletin records 10,864 discarded cases and 20,085 notifications. To date, 623 health professionals have been positively diagnosed for Covid-19. The reduction of 23 cases in relation to the last bulletin is justified by the identification of patients in duplicate when integrating the different databases.
These data represent official notifications compiled by the Strategic Information Center on Sanitary Surveillance in Bahia (Cievs-BA), together with the municipal Cievs.
The Bahia Health Department (Sesab) represents 198 deaths from the new coronavirus in the following municipalities: Adustina (1); Cold water (1); Araci (1); Belmonte (1); Buerarema (3); Camaçari (3); Capim Grosso (3); Catu (1); Coaraci (1); Feira de Santana (2); Gandu (1); Gongogi (2); Ibirataia (1); Ilhéus (11); Ipiaú (2); Itabuna (6); Itagibá (1); Itapé (1); Itapetinga (2); Sheikh (2); Jitaúna (1); Juazeiro (1); Lauro de Freitas (5); Maraú (1); Nilo Peçanha (1); Paramirim (1); Ribeira do Pombal (1); Salvador (128); São Francisco do Conde (1); Ubaitaba (1); Uruçuca (4); Utinga (1); Vera Cruz (1); Vereda (1) and Vitória da Conquista (4). These numbers represent all records from January to 12 noon on Sunday (10).
