The number of deaths caused by the new coronavirus in Bahia reaches 202, according to the most recent balance published, this Sunday night (10), by the Bahia Department of Health (Sesab). According to the folder, the state has 5,558 infections confirmed by the disease. Of this number, 1,391 are cured and 3,965 are still considered active cases.
Across the federation, there are 171 municipalities with confirmed cases of the new coronavirus. Of these, Salvador concentrates the majority of the positive tests with 66.05%. According to the incidence coefficient for each million inhabitants, the municipality with the highest rate is Ipiaú, with 2,444.52, followed by Uruçuca (2,095.62), Ilhéus (1,792.68), Itabuna (1,538.30) and Salvador (1,277.70).
Sesab also carried out a survey of the health professionals most affected by the disease. There are 166 infected technicians or nursing assistants in the state. Then the nurses appear, with 141 positive tests. Doctors count 117 infected and other specialties add 217 diagnoses for Covid-19.
