Another negative record for the state of São Paulo in the fight against the pandemic. The state recorded 1,051 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. It was the third time this week that the death toll exceeded thousands.
With the latest data, the state has 71,747 victims of the new coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. Only last Friday (27) there were 1,193 deaths.
Despite the statistics provided by official sources, it is not yet possible to specify the accuracy of the figures. It should be remembered that on Wednesday (24), the São Paulo government criticized the Ministry of Health for having changed the system that records the number of victims of Covid.
The number of infected people also increased to 2,140,498 with 18,124 new cases of the disease.
This Saturday, 18,124 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 were also registered in the state, bringing the total to 2,410,498.

With the entire state in the Emergency Plan, the government decided to extend until April 11 the restrictions due to the advance of the disease and as a result of the commitment of the public and private hospital network. As a whole, adding Greater São Paulo and the rest of the state, the occupancy rate for ICU beds is 91.6%.
