Bahía registered 3,105 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to a bulletin released by the State Department of Health (Sesab), this Sunday (7). According to the bulletin, 82 deaths were registered, which occurred on different dates.

Since the start of the pandemic, 12,530 people have died of diseases in Bahia, which represents a fatality of 1.75%.

According to the bulletin, Bahia has so far registered 714,005 confirmed cases of Covid-19. The number of active cases in the state is 20,943.

In Bahia, 43,691 health professionals were confirmed for Covid-19.

The bulletin also reports the number of people vaccinated in Bahia. According to Sesab, 543,545 people were vaccinated against Covid-19, of which 164,554 also received the second dose until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The data represent official notifications collected by the Bahia Health Epidemiological Surveillance Directorate (Divep-BA), together with municipal surveillance and databases from the Ministry of Health until 5:00 p.m. this Sunday.

Second newsletter, of the 2,375 active beds in Bahia, 1,790 have hospitalization, which represents a general occupancy rate of 75%.

Of these beds 1,175 are for care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for adults and occupy 86% (1,015 beds occupied). The occupancy rate for pediatric ICU beds is 69%, with 25 of the 36 units in use.

The adult ward units in Bahia, on the other hand, represent 64% of the occupancy and the pediatric unit 76%.

In Salvador, of the 1,179 active beds, 978 have hospitalization. The overall occupancy rate is 83%. The occupancy rate for the adult ICU is 85% and the pediatric ICU is 70%. In adult clinical beds, the occupancy rate is 81% and in pediatric beds, the occupancy is 84%.
