The Covid-19 service network in hospitals has 1,271 ICU beds for adults and 1,790 nursing beds, with an occupation of more than 94% in care that requires intubation.

Even according to the latest data, Paraná has already applied 389,549 doses, 293,419 of the first dose and 96,130 of the second dose against Covid-19 until yesterday morning, February 25. Therefore, 293,419 people from Paraná have already been vaccinated.

The Secretary of Health, Beto Preto, said that we have a progressive and dramatic worsening in the number of ICU and nursing beds in the last 15 days. According to Beto Preto, the measures adopted in December, such as the statewide curfew, yielded a positive result.

The secretary said that in the next ten days 99 more ICU beds and another 153 nursing beds will be implanted, totaling 252 new beds.

“We need more vaccines, we have 1.8 million people over 60 years old. We do not want a lack of beds in Paraná ”, said the secretary.
