After the Public Ministry of the State of Amazonas (MPE-AM) obtained a request from the Court of Justice of Amazonas (TJ-AM) to limit non-essential activities in Amazonas for fifteen days, entities linked to trade said they would interrupt legal issues and comply with the court decision.
To the report, the president of the Federation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism of the State of Amazonas (Fecomércio-Amazonas), Aderson Frota, said that he recognizes the seriousness of the situation and that he is already suggesting to the associated businessmen the immediate fulfillment of the determination of Justice. .
Frota said that the business class understands that the Public Ministry acted to guarantee the protection of society by raising Justice, but pointed out that most commercial activities do not cause agglomeration.
“What has contributed to the increase in hospitalizations has been the electoral period, the end of the year celebrations, but mainly, the clandestine parties, where excesses are committed,” he commented.
Along the same lines, the president of the Amazon Trade Association (ACA), Jorge Lima, affirmed that the State has nothing else to do and that compliance is inevitable.
Lima said that the only request of the Association to Governor Wilson Lima (PSC) was to extend the term for the payment of the Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS).
New decree
The Government of Amazonas published, yesterday (04/01), Decree No. 43.269, in compliance with the decision of the Court of Justice of Amazonas suspending non-essential economic activities for a period of 15 days, due to the serious health emergency public caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the new law, published in the Official Gazette of the State (DOE), the State determines that the provisions of Decree 43.234, published on December 23, 2020 in the DOE, will govern again. With the new decree, it was also determined that the bodies of the Public Security System of the State of Amazonas, with the support of the Foundation for Health Surveillance of the State of Amazonas (FVS-AM), will be in charge of complying with the decision. judicial.
The shopping centers will function exclusively as collection points for electronic purchases in their parking lots, in the form of lockers, without ever exceeding two square meters of area, so that they operate on a drive-thru basis.
