Luiz Henrique Mandetta once again stripped General Eduardo Pazuello.
He told O Globo:
“A military man has no idea what Health is. Now we have a federal government that completely comes out of facing Health and arguing that the problem was logistical. It never was, the problem was public health, much more complex than carrying cash. And now there is a triple crisis, of prevention, care and vaccine ”.
He also said what he would do if he were still in the Ministry of Health:
“It would greatly increase the credibility of the vaccine, hold events, call the entire sector, scientists, personalities, speak frankly with Brazilian society about the risks and benefits. I would aggressively go do a vaccine group and organize it so that we could vaccinate as many people as possible before next winter. This is a virus that has seasonality, the period when it is easiest is winter. It will increase diametrically next winter, so we have to get there, at least, with all the elderly, health personnel and people with comorbidities vaccinated. I would have made an agreement with all the vaccine producers, I would never have set the record for a single vaccine. The purchase of vaccines is done under pressure from society, they are forced to admit obvious things ”.
