Bolsonar’s blogger was pre-emptively detained last week by order of the STF minister, Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur for the investigation of anti-democratic events.
Hospitalized on Monday night (21), the Bolsonarista blogger Oswaldo Eustáquio was repairing the shower in his cell in Papuda prison when he fell down the sink and fractured a vertebra, says his lawyer, Ricardo Vasconcellos.
“It was a possibly permanent injury that could prevent him from walking,” says Vasconcellos, who visited the client at the Base Hospital in Brasilia, where he is hospitalized. The DF Institute for Strategic Health Management, which manages the hospital, says that it “cannot provide information on the health status of patients admitted to its units.”
Vasconcellos says that, according to a report by the blogger, “he [Eustáquio] I was going to take a shower and the shower started to leak. I was desperate, [o líquido] The cell began to flood, Oswaldo went up to the bathroom to stop the leak and unbalanced ”.
“In the fall, I don’t know if it was in the sink or in the toilet, the upper part of the spine was hit and the T5 vertebra fractured,” says Vasconcellos, who represents the Bolsonarista in the investigation in which Paraná is being investigated. for the practice of anti-democratic. “He couldn’t feel his legs. He was even handcuffed. I asked him to take it off.”
Still according to Vasconcellos, Oswaldo “says that at that moment it hurt and he screamed a lot. And he fainted in all that water. Then two policemen came to help him.” Later, the blogger was taken to the hospital. The lawyer says that this Tuesday (22) he would be transferred to the University Hospital to perform magnetic resonance examinations to check the extent of the injury.
Vasconcellos affirms that he was the only one who had contact with Eustáquio, since he was his lawyer. The Bolsonarista’s wife, Sandra Peña, has not yet been able to find him, according to herself.
“He was not convicted at all, he has no evidence against my husband and he was arbitrarily arrested,” he says. “Oswaldo is having the right to express himself and stay home with his raped family, while there are many criminals at large,” continues Sandra.
Eustáquio was arrested in preventive custody on Friday (18) by decision of the STF (Federal Supreme Court) minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur for the investigation of anti-democratic events.
The magistrate said that the blogger did not comply with the restrictions imposed as part of his house arrest, decreed on November 17 of this year.
