“There are people who want to take it, so take it, it’s your responsibility. If there is a problem there, I hope not… ”said Bolsonaro.
According to the president, Pfizer makes clear in the contract that the company is not responsible for side effects.
“It is not mandatory, you will have to sign a term of responsibility to take it. Because Pfizer, for example, is very clear in the contract: “We are not responsible for side effects,” said the president.
Bolsonaro also said that a deputy who releases R $ 20 billion for the purchase of vaccines against Covid-19 should sign on Tuesday. The amount cited by Bolsonaro is ten times greater than that released for the purchase of the vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and the AstraZeneca laboratory, in which the government will pay R $ 1.9 billion for 100 million doses.
The president also questioned the period of effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccine.
“This vaccine now, what is the validity of it? How long do you take yourself today and stay immune? How soon should you take another dose? Now it is costing us R $ 20 billion at the beginning ”, he said.
Bolsonaro also once again advocated ineffective drugs for the treatment of Covid-19, complained about the use of masks and said that whoever is taking Covid now is because “they stayed at home.”
“The one who takes it now is the one who stayed home. And another, this virus will live with us until it dies, ”says Bolsonaro.
