STF gives 48 hours for the Minister of Health to inform the vaccination dates

The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Ricardo Lewandowski granted 48 hours of time for the Minister of Health, Eduardo Pazuello, to present the dates of each stage of the vaccination plan against COVID-19. He also requested that the request be notified to the Attorney General’s Office (AGU).

“The Minister of State for Health is summoned to clarify, within 48 hours, what is the forecast for the start and end of the National Vaccination Operationalization Plan against covid-19, including its different phases,” Lewandowski wrote in dispatch. “The Federal Attorney General of the Union is also intimidated,” he added.

The Ministry of Health informed that it will appear in the file, within the established period, as soon as it is notified.

Yesterday (12), Lewandowski made the document public of 93 pages sent by the Ministry of Health to the STF on Friday (11) with the vaccination planning. After disseminating the text, the minister requested the withdrawal of two actions that required the presentation by the federal government of the immunization plan.

Regarding the lack of dates in the document, the folder reported that it is not yet possible to present an exact calendar because there is still no vaccine approved in the national market by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).

“Presenting a date, specifying an immunobiological and presenting information without the proper identification of a vaccine approved by Anvisa does not comply with the safety and efficiency practices of the National Immunization Program of the portfolio, which does not work with speculation without technical and scientific confirmation” , justified the Ministry of Health.
