After more than a month hospitalized at the Hospital Português do Recife, former federal deputy Carlos Eduardo Cadoca died at dawn on Sunday 13, at the age of 80, a victim of covid-19. The information was released by his wife, Berenice Andrade Lima, and confirmed by the hospital.

He resisted bravely. He was a strong warrior, typical of those who love life, but this disease is terrible, mysterious and, unfortunately, it was stronger, ”Berenice wrote on Facebook.
He also highlighted the severity of the pandemic and the need to strengthen measures to prevent contagion. “Covid-19 remains latent, as an immense challenge for the authorities and for society. Until the vaccine arrives, which guarantees universal coverage, it is urgent that everyone redouble their attention, ”said Berenice.
The Real Hospital Português reported that “confirms the death of the patient Carlos Eduardo Cintra da Costa Pereira (Cadoca) at 12:30 pm this Sunday (12/13).”
Born in Recife, Cadoca graduated in law and had a long political career, having assumed the position of federal deputy, state deputy in Pernambuco, and councilor in Recife.
This Sunday, politicians from different parties paid tribute to Cadoca. Through social networks, the national president of the PSDB, Bruno Araújo, mentioned the “opportunity to live and work with one of the most dedicated public men in Pernambuco”. “Cadoca makes important contributions to our state. My condolences to all family and friends, ”wrote Araújo.
