On the day that the Supreme Court had to make public the initial vaccination plan of the Ministry of Health against the coronavirus, Minister Eduardo Pazuello (Health) reserved part of this Saturday (12) for lunch in the governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha . (MDB), meeting attended by country singer Zezé di Camargo.
The meeting was confirmed by the governor’s press office.
In one of the photos taken during lunch, Pazuello appears with Ibaneis, the singer and two other people. Everyone is without a mask.
This Saturday, the country reached a total of more than 181 thousand deaths as a result of the pandemic, 686 confirmed in the last 24 hours according to its own balance.
The minister has been under pressure in recent days to present a plan to immunize the population against Covid-19, especially after São Paulo Governor João Doria (PSDB) announced the state’s vaccination schedule.
On December 7, Doria announced on January 25 the start of vaccination of residents with Coronavac. The production is done in association with the Butantan Institute with the Chinese Sinovac.
The ministry promises to announce the plan to the population next Wednesday (16).
The plan was made public this Saturday (12) by Minister Ricardo Lewandowski, of the STF (Federal Supreme Court). He received a letter from the portfolio in response to an interrogation to support the judgment of actions of the opposition parties that ask the court to force the government to put together and divulge a plan.
The ministry stated that the referral to the STF was made to meet legal deadlines. “The plan may undergo changes, since there is still no vaccine launched by Anvisa.”
Pazuello’s publicist said the Health Ministry responded to all inquiries from journalists on Saturday and that the plan had to be handed over to the STF to meet the legal deadlines as a result of the actions.
The press office said it did not see any problems during the lunch and reaffirmed that the ministry will make an official disclosure on Wednesday.
