Confessed murderer simulated robbery and took mother and daughter hostage before suffocating them in Mexico City

The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF), in a press conference this Thursday afternoon (10/12), detailed how Josimar Benedito de Paiva, 42, would have taken the lives of two women, mother and daughter, within the family home in Arapoanga. The suspect handed over the victims, tied both their arms, and then killed them. A 6-year-old boy, the son of one of the victims, witnessed all the horror.

According to Veluziano de Castro, a delegate from Police Station 31 (Planaltina), who is in charge of the investigations, the suspect had a relationship with Giane Cristina Alexandre, 36, for three years. After finishing two months ago, he began to bother her, in the house where she lived with her mother, María Madalena Cordeiro Neto, 60, and her son, in Quadra 8 in the Planaltina neighborhood.

Josimar went to the family home this Wednesday afternoon (12/9). Magdalena was handed over and tied up. When he noticed Giane’s arrival, the suspect covered his head, pretended to be a robber, and also gave up his ex. He tied it up and discovered his face only there.

Josimar and Giane’s relationship ended on September 21, but the man did not accept the breakup. He told police he did so in an attempt to convince the victim to give him a chance. With the refusal, he ended up killing his ex and his mother.

Josimar put the boy to watch television and went to the bedroom, where the women were tied up. He had covered Giane’s head with a pillowcase and when he returned he found his ex-partner dead. The suspect then allegedly placed the boy in a car seat, inside the car, and said that if he did not behave, he would kill his mother and quarantine her.

The accused took advantage of the boy’s fear and innocence to try to cover up the crime. He set an alarm clock for 5 am this Thursday to wake the boy up. At that time, the little one must go to Josimar’s house, who lives on the same street as the family, to ask for help.

“A cowardly crime. A terrifying scene, both for the victims and for the child ”, says deputy Veluziano de Castro. In testimony, the accused revealed that the “feeling of possession with the victim had existed since adolescence, more than 20 years ago.”

The suspect even faked a robbery attempt. He hid televisions in the siding of the house, to point out that someone had stolen the equipment.

The case occurred in the early hours of Thursday. Neighbors said they heard the screams of a child at dawn, allegedly the victim’s son.
