After killing his pregnant wife during sex, the man impersonates the victim in a letter

Marcelo Augusto de Sousa Araújo, was arrested accused of killing his pregnant wife during a sexual relationship in Várzea Paulista, São Paulo. The suspect even wrote a “farewell letter” to falsify that the couple had “decided to go together,” according to the investigation.

“We decided to go together. We wanted to have a united family to support us, but it’s hell for both sides. Let him feel the weight of what he put us through, ”Marcelo wrote in an extract from the letter.

The man was denounced by the Public Ministry for the feminicide of makeup artist Francine Rigo dos Santos, 21. The crime occurred in December 2019. On August 7 of this year, the judge ordered Marcelo to be tried by the Jury Court.

The Sept. 16 necroscopic report, attached to the Dec.1 file, noted that Francine had a cut throat, a fractured right wrist, and head trauma. In testimony, the suspect said he used a blade to kill the victim during sexual intercourse.

According to the report of the Legal Medical Institute (IML), the injuries caused respiratory arrest, cardiocirculatory arrest, unconsciousness, hypothermia and dehydration.
