The macro-region of Vale do Aço regresses to the red wave of Minas Consciente

The decision taken by the Covid-19 Extraordinary Committee, late in the afternoon of this Wednesday (9), made the Vale do Aço macro-region regress to the red wave Minas Consciente. At this stage of the State Government’s plan for a safe and gradual recovery of the economy, only essential services such as pharmacies, bakeries and supermarkets are allowed to operate. Another region that also fell back was the Southeast, with that, the State now has 14 macro-regions of Health in the red wave.

The 39% increase in the incidence rate of the virus in the state, in the last seven days, was one of the main reasons for the setback, explains the government of Minas Gerais. The technical group also opted for the regression of the Northwest macro-region to the yellow wave, totaling five regions in the phase that allows services such as gyms, beauty salons and clubs, in addition to consumption in bars and restaurants.

Only the Northern region advanced, joining the Northern Triangle and the Southern Triangle, in the green wave, the most flexible of the plan.

The changes come into force next Saturday (12) and arrived in the Vale do Aço macro-region a few days ago for Christmas, the most important date of the year for trade.

Protocols
Also on Wednesday, the Covid-19 Extraordinary Committee approved new protocols for this month’s business operation, due to the Christmas season.

As a result, retailers and wholesalers, currently authorized by the yellow wave, will be able to operate during the red wave with restrictions such as increased inspection of sanitary measures.

Requested by the Diário do Aço, the administration of Ipatinga, a municipality that makes up the Vale do Aço macro-region, reported that it will speak out on the regression in the program this Thursday (10).

Caution
Governor Romeu Zema alerted and asked the population to maintain distance and hygiene. “Unfortunately, several regions have regressed in the past week. This clearly shows, as has been happening for about three weeks, that the pandemic in the state is getting worse. I want to remind you that the situation still deserves our full attention, because we already had much better figures, about 45 days ago. We have made all possible efforts, but the population must also contribute, as it has done so far. All preparatory care and planning regarding vaccination is already being provided, ”he said.

Red wave
In the red wave, the most restrictive of Minas Consciente, only services considered essential are allowed, such as:

– Supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, cafes, convenience stores;

– Bars (only for delivery or collection at the counter);

– Butchers, fishmongers, fresh products;

– Food sales services;

– Pharmacies, drugstores, cosmetic stores, laundries, pet shop;

– Banks, lottery houses, credit unions;

– Surveillance and private security;

– Repair and maintenance services;

– Computer and communication stores;

– Hotels, motels, campsites, accommodation and pensions;

– Infrastructure and civil construction works;

– Sale of vehicles, spare parts and automotive accessories.
