The actor Eduardo Galvão died on Monday night (7), aged 58, a victim of COVID-19. He had been admitted to the ICU of the Unimed Rio Hospital, in Barra da Tijuca, since the end of last month. Last Tuesday (1st) he had been intubated for complications of the disease.

Galvão had been hospitalized since the end of November due to the new coronavirus. The information of his hospitalization was confirmed on the 27th by the actor. Stepan nercessian, friend of Galvão.
The actor’s last work at Rede Globo was the 2019 telenovela “Bom Sucesso”. Galvão made his television debut in the telenovela “O Salvador da Pátria” in 1989, and one of his most memorable works was with the presenter Angélica, in the children’s series “Caça Talentos”, screened between 1996 and 1998, with exactly 500 episodes.
Galvão also worked at SBT, where he worked on “As Pupilas do Senhor Rector” (1995); Record, having made the sitcoms “Avassaladoras: A Série” (2006) and “Apocalipse” (2017); Band, where he acted in the telenovela “Dance, Dance, Dance” (2007); and on TVE, again in an outstanding work, like Menino Maluquinho’s father, in “Um Menino Muito Maluquinho” (2006).
The actor also worked on subscription channels such as Multishow, with “Adorável Psicose” (2013), GNT, in “Questão de Família” (2014), and on HBO, with the series “Magnifica 70” (2015).
Flamengo fan Galvão was honored by the team, who posted a recent video on their social media in which the actor congratulated him on the 125th anniversary of the club.
