The decree published on Friday afternoon (4) in an extra edition of Diogrande (Campo Grande Official Gazette) officially started the curfew at 10 pm next Monday (4). This is one of the suggested changes in MPMS recommendation (Public Ministry of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul) to stop the contagion curve of Covid-19. Before, the town hall advanced some measures that would be taken.

Essential services, such as gas stations, pharmacies, and home delivery, can operate even during nighttime restrictions, which extend until 5 a.m. All public establishments must operate at a maximum of 40% of their capacity, including churches and religious temples in general.

Sporting events and championships are prohibited, as well as any type of crowd such as tereré and hookah wheels.

Assemblies and work meetings are allowed provided that biosafety protocols are respected.

Shopping centers can maintain normal operating hours, from 10 am to 10 pm. The business in general is authorized to operate between 8 am and 9 pm.

Establishments that are not listed in the decree must also respect health standards.

Public transportation will operate at 70% of its capacity, from 5 am to 11 pm. Free passes for students and seniors are again suspended.

Any measure provided for in the text that is not complied with will give rise to liability based on articles 268 and 330 of the CP (Penal Code), without prejudice to other sanctions provided for in the Municipal Health Code.
