The Civil Police of Santa Catarina will investigate whether a woman detained in São Paulo this Wednesday morning (2), with rifle ammunition and explosive detonators, is linked to the bank robbery that took place in Criciúma, in the south of SC, in the early hours of Tuesday (1st). The information was confirmed by the director of the Robbery and Anti-kidnapping Police of the State Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DEIC) of SC, delegate Luis Felipe Fuentes.

According to Fuentes, the information about the arrest of the woman and the seizure of the materials reached Deic, but it is not yet possible to affirm that she is suspicious of their participation.
– Yes, the situation will be investigated, but we cannot confirm the implication – summarized the delegate.

The records indicate that the woman was arrested on the spot after the São Paulo Police received complaints about the alleged participation of a neighbor from the southern area of the capital of São Paulo in the “great robbery that occurred yesterday (Tuesday) in the municipality of Criciúma, where there was use of explosives and heavy weapons ”.

With the information received, agents from the 25th Police District went to a house in the Jardim Reimberg neighborhood where they found 7.62 mm rifle cartridges – a cartridge also used in the assault – 9 mm pistol magazines, cocaine, 10 cell phones, a rifle door and a box with detonators for explosives.

The Special Tactical Action Group (Gate) was even used to collect the detonators, which will be investigated. The woman was arrested on the spot in the Jardim Reimberg neighborhood of São Paulo and will be investigated. All the objects were seized.
Police find a shed used by thieves
On Wednesday (2) the Military Police also found the shed used by the assailants at dawn. The police are still investigating the usefulness of the space to organize the assault.
The progress of the crime investigations also indicates that the bandits would have remained at least three months in the city organizing the action that involved some 30 hooded men and at least 10 high-end vehicles, nine of them armored.
The action started at the end of the night on Monday (30), around 11:50 pm, and spread through the early hours of Tuesday. A military police officer was injured in a confrontation with the gang and is still hospitalized in serious health.
