A rescuer from the Autopista Fernão Dias concessionaire, a company that manages part of the BR-381, between Minas Gerais and São Paulo, died while attending to an event recorded in the section of the highway along the city of Igarapé, in the Region Metropolitan of Belo Horizonte. this Tuesday afternoon (1st).

The team of the 47-year-old lifeguard Cirlene Aparecida de Souza, who worked in pre-hospital care for accidents that occurred on the road, was summoned to attend to an incident involving a car that collided with a ravine and then fell on the road.

At the scene of the accident, according to information from the Fire Department, in an attempt to gain access to the two victims trapped in the cab of the overturned truck, the Fernão Dias Highway team used a winch to lift the structure.

During the service, the rescuer entered under the car and, accidentally, the structure gave way. Unfortunately, Cirlene was beaten and died on the spot.

Through a note, Autopista Fernão Dias mourned the death of the rescuer and reported that he is providing all the support to the family.

The 45-year-old truck driver was helped by the Fernão Dias Highway team to the Betim Regional Public Hospital. His wife, 20 years old, who is pregnant and who was in the passenger seat, was rescued in serious condition by the Fire Department Helicopter, who also traveled to the scene of the accident to provide assistance in assistance. She was also taken to the same health center.

The Betim City Council, through its press office, reported that the man was admitted to the health unit for abdominal pain. His wife also claimed to be experiencing abdominal and pelvic pain.

The couple remains in the hospital for observation, with a stable state of health. The two are waiting for more tests to conduct a new evaluation, according to the city.
