Retirees and pensioners of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), who expected to receive their fourteenth salary this year, they will not be able to count on this benefit.
The chances that the government will approve the measure are slim. The proposal arose after the payment of the bonus was advanced and left the INSS policyholders without their main support at the end of the year.

For the approval of the text, the argument was that “the pandemic is doing enormous damage to the economy and the lives of the least favored people.” Thus, the granting of the 14th emergency salary, he reiterated, “is a humanitarian issue.”
The lawyer Sandro Gonçalves is the author of the idea, and believes that anticipating the thirteenth salary of retirees and pensioners due to the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus helped the insured at the beginning of the crisis.
However, he sees that in December these policyholders will be left without this benefit, which can lead to even greater consequences.
The project idea was presented on May 29, and by June 6 it had already achieved 20 thousand supporters.
The proposal is still waiting to be voted on, but there is not enough time for the benefit to be approved and delivered to the population.
