President Jair bolsonaro (no party) lied on Thursday (26) live on his social networks by saying that he never referred to COVID-19 like a “little grip”.

In a live broadcast, the president says there is “no video or audio” in which he uses the term to refer to the virus in this way, and blamed the media, who reportedly said he called the disease “fluzinha.”

“In my case, I said, because of my past as an athlete, I did not generalize, if I took the covid I would not feel almost anything. That’s what I said. The people in the media, the mainstream media, say that I called the covid issue a fluke. There is no video of me, no audio of me, speaking that way, ”Bolsonaro said.

In March of that year, Bolsonaro used the term “fluzinha” on at least two occasions to refer to Covid-19. On the 20th of that month, at a press conference in Planalto, the president stated that “after the stabbing, it will not be a small grip that will knock me down, no.”

On the 24th of the same month, in a national statement on radio and television, he says “in my particular case, due to the history of my athlete, if I was infected with the virus, I wouldn’t have to worry. Nothing would feel or, at most, would be affected by a ‘fluzinha’ or ‘chills’ ”.
