Francisco’s funeral and burial will take place at the Jardim das Palmeiras Cemetery, in Goiânia, and only family members will be able to participate in the ceremonies, as a security measure against Covid-19.

When he published on social networks talking about Covid-19, Luciano said that he took an exam before traveling to visit his father, in Goiânia, and that the test had indicated that the singer was not infected. After returning to São Paulo, on Monday (16), he felt symptoms of the disease and repeated the evaluation, which this time indicated that he had coronavirus. Despite this, all other members of the family tested negative, according to the singer’s post.

Francisco José de Camargo died at the age of 83 in a private hospital in Goiânia at 11:05 pm on Monday (23) due to cardiorespiratory arrest and “hemodynamic instability”.

Seu Francisco had been hospitalized since last November 10, when he felt pain in his intestines. Four days later, he had to undergo emergency surgery to stop the bleeding from the organ. That day, Zezé and Luciano were in Goiânia to closely follow the evolution of the situation.

According to the singers’ brother, Emanoel Camargo, the father had started to take off the sedatives on Thursday (18).
