The Municipal Secretariat of Health of Belo Horizonte (SMSA) determined on Friday (20) the discontinued immediate procedures elective surgery in all health establishments contracted by SUS-BH.
This considering the current moment of the COVID-19 pandemic, when there is a significant increase in the number of hospitalizations in the capital. Surgeries will be suspended until epidemiological indicators allow their disclosure.

COVID-19 numbers
Belo Horizonte reached 52,352 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The number represents a difference of 271 new diagnoses in relation to the previous survey, published this Thursday. In other words, currently 100 infected people can transmit the disease to 109 others. On Tuesday, the Rt dropped to 1.12 and reached 1.10 on Wednesday. That Thursday, the index was at 1.10. Remember that the parameter goes to the yellow phase, the intermediate phase, starting at 1.
