“In the municipalities of moderate risk, the schools have remote activities. Only the municipalities of low risk have face-to-face activities,” said the governor on Friday (20). The rule for the operation of schools was already announced in September. Higher education can continue with face-to-face activities even at moderate risk.
In the case of municipal schools in low-risk cities, city councils can choose to offer face-to-face classes or not. The same is true of private institutions.
According to the governor, the relaxation of the population in relation to the containment measures for contagion of the new coronavirus caused an increase in the number of cases and deaths. Casagrande affirmed that the State is not experiencing a second wave of pollution, but a “second phase of the first wave.”

“What happened was a certain accommodation for many. Many of us settled in. We saw the pandemic reach a peak, it grew, we saw the (risk) map turn green, we got tired of so many protocols. This led to more interaction. , agglomeration and contagion. Now we have more pressure on the health system “
In addition to restrictions on face-to-face classes, which already existed for moderate-risk cities, the governor announced a reduction in the opening hours of bars and restaurants. These establishments may operate from Monday to Saturday until 10:00 p.m. and on Sundays until 4:00 p.m. in municipalities with moderate risk.
There was also a change in the rules in relation to trade: moderate risk cities, as of Monday (23), will be able to maintain their normal commercial activities, without restriction of hours. Until then, the moderate risk classification implied running only 6 hours a day.
