José Medina, coordinator of the Coronavirus Contingency Center, presented these data cited by Gabbardo.

As Folha anticipated, there was growth in hospitals such as Sírio Libanês, HCor, Vila Nova Star and São Camilo. Governor João Doria stated that these units usually receive patients from other states, so this would not represent an increase in transmission in the cities of São Paulo.

Jean Gorinchteyn, state health secretary, called for the government’s data to be respected.
“These data have credibility and it is based on them that we will make the São Paulo Plan. They are the ones who will manage the attitudes of the state government, to provide security for everyone. If there is any other platform that shows an increase, we do not have this information. We are attentive and based on data that are faithful and must be respected, ”he said.
