Delegate Sabrina Leles, head of the Department for the Suppression of Cyber Crimes (Dercc) of the State Police, requested the breach of confidentiality on October 29, when she received the first information requested from the application extrajudicially, by letter. The delegate understood that the responses were very superficial and opted for judicial representation.
Rafael Maciel, a lawyer specializing in digital law, explained that the breach of telematic confidentiality requested by the Civil Police involves providing the user’s IP number. “Every time a person connects to the Internet, an IP number is generated. With these data, the police will find out, for example, if the user was inside the aforementioned condominium at the time of connection or not. The app can still provide the Imei number of the registered mobile device. The police can even find out who bought the cell phone, ”he said.
