Jotinha was famous for his WhatsApp audios, in which he used the slogan “daddy”, and on social networks he was friends with many famous people, including the player Neymar.

A supporter of Bahia, he became a poster artist for the club, participating in various actions on social networks. Following the comedian’s hospitalization, the club even published a message wishing strength to the follower.

The objective of the campaign carried out by Tirullipa was to achieve the transfer of Jotinha to a public hospital, since the radio host’s family could not keep him admitted to the Incar Hospital, with a daily admission cost of around R $ 23 thousand.

Responding to the authorities’ request for support, Vilas-Boas explained that the clinical situation in Jotinha was very serious and that the transfer by air to the ICU in Salvador would not be possible.

During his appeal, Tirullipa, who called Jotinha the “heritage of Bahia”, also released an audio in which a relative explained that Jotinha’s situation was really complicated. The comedian was in an induced coma, in the ICU, with his kidneys arrested, and had to undergo hemodialysis.
