The journalist’s daughter Rodrigo Constatino, Laura Constatino, published a video on social networks in which she claims to have been “very upset” with the repercussion of her father’s comment during a live show on the radio Joven Pan. Rodrigo commented on the case of Mariana Ferrer and highlighted that in the circumstances in which when a rape crime occurred, if the episode had happened to her daughter, she would not report it to the police and still leave her punished.
“I had many doubts about whether to record a video or not, because I do not like to get into controversy, but today I received many messages from friends and people I do not know talking about what happened in relation to my father, and it really left me very moved” Laura began.
“He said that if his daughter, which is me, was raped, he would not report the crime, that he would punish me. That affected me a lot, because I know my father, I know that he is a person who has character, who is against rape, like anyone who has character, ”said the young woman.
According to Laura, she is sure that her father would take her side in a situation like this. “I would go after whoever committed this crime, I would denounce that person, because anyone, any father with character would do it, a good person would do it,” said Laura.
“Having to read something like that from my father really moved me a lot,” the young woman repeats. “I just needed to say this, because having to read so many people saying that I have a father who is in favor of rape and things like that, because I know that he is not that,” he added.
Resignation
After the negative repercussions of Rodrigo’s comment, he was fired from the Jovem Pan radio station. On his Twitter, the journalist confirmed his departure and criticized the distortion of his speech and the pressure on the media.
“You guys won a battle, congratulations! The pressure was so great on Jovem Pan, CLEARLY DISTURBING MY SPEECH, that they could not resist. I do not blame them. Is the game. Those who know me and those who have seen him know that I would never tolerate rape! But I already left Jovem Pan ”, he said.
“I am very grateful for everything Jovem Pan has done, for the free space, for the confidence. It was a period of intense work, many achievements and growth ”, he added.
