Fortress may be passing through ‘microsurtos’ Covid-19, in particular, in areas neighboring the Meireles neighborhoodsaid the head of the Ceará Health Secretariat (Sesa) Carlos Roberto Martins Rodrigues Sobrinho, Dr. Cabeto, this Thursday (29). However, the secretary does not confirm a second wave of the disease in the state at this time.
“We know that there was a very strong wave in Ceará in mid-May, now we see an increase in a small number of cases in some regions. And here, specifically, in Fortaleza, in the neighboring areas of Meireles. This can represent microcurves. We still cannot talk about the second wave, it would be premature, but we are taking care of monitoring it, ”the secretary emphasized.
The capital districts will be evaluated by the percentage of immunity to the disease, starting next Tuesday (3). Based on the study, a survey will be prepared, according to Dr. Cabeto, to publicize the situation of viral circulation in Fortaleza and Ceará.
Agglomerations
The head of Sesa expressed his concern about the lack of knowledge of the health protocols established for the process of resuming economic and behavioral activities in the State.
Despite this, Sesa maintains that the overall picture of the disease continues to be a reduction in the number of cases and deaths.
> Meireles residents report frequent crowds and noise pollution after 10pm
> The weekend is marked by agglomerations in the Capital and the Interior
> The beaches of the capital register crowds at different points on Sunday (2)
Dr. Cabeto also highlighted the danger of crowds in electoral campaigns.
“We need to understand that some of these agglomerations that we have seen on television in political campaigns in municipalities can contribute to the increase, especially those that are in closed environments. And these must be avoided, as established in a decree, to preserve lives, to ensure that the economy continues to evolve. We don’t want to go back, ”said Cabeto.
The secretary also recalled the importance of monitoring tourists who enter Ceará through the Fortaleza airport. After requesting the Government of Ceará to carry out surveys at the terminal, the National Sanitary Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) denied the request.
With the refusal, Governor Camilo Santana announced, through his social networks, that an official letter was sent to the Minister of Foreign Affairs requesting that visitors take the exam before embarking for the State, in the countries of origin.
Secretary Dr. Cabeto also called on Health entities to come together to ask the population to comply with health protocols in favor of reducing Covid-19 cases in Ceará.
Covid-19 numbers in the state
Ceará accumulates 273,194 confirmed cases and records 9,335 deaths caused by the new coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic. And as of today (28), the State has already notified 853,415 cases of the disease. The data comes from the IntegraSUS digital platform, administered by the State Department of Health (Sesa) and updated at 5:29 pm, this Thursday (29).
