The militant Ênio Pasqualin, from the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST), was found shot to death on Sunday (25) in Rio Bonito do Iguaçu (PR), where he lived with his family, in the Ireno Alves dos Santos Settlement.

According to the MST, on Saturday night (24), Ênio was kidnapped. His body was found the next day in the vicinity of the settlement. So far, no suspect has been arrested. The case is being investigated by the Laranjeiras do Sul Police Station.

In a note, the MST reported that Ênio was the state leader of the movement and “participated in various activities and land occupations in the Rio Bonito do Iguaçu region.”

“On October 15, Ênio celebrated his 48th birthday with his family and today, 10 days after his birthday, he is unacceptably leaving his family. They took the life of a father, a husband, leaving his two daughters, his son and his wife in inexplicable pain ”.
