Nicole Oliveira da Costa, 6, died after fighting a brain tumor for three months. The girl discovered the disease after losing her body movements.
“It was a lot of suffering, now he rested,” lamented the girl’s father, editor Daniel Ribeiro, in an interview with G1. He said that the girl died last Thursday (22), due to compression of the brain, since the tumor was very large and could not be removed in surgery.
“It was a battle, she no longer spoke, she only made gestures with her eyes,” he explains. The family, originally from Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo, was admitted to a hospital in the capital. Ribeiro said the daughter underwent surgery to put the drain and another when it was found that it would not be possible to remove the tumor.
The surgeries were carried out on her birthday, September 14, and her daughter has not woken up since. “It was very distressing, I was only able to become a father and mother thanks to Covid-19. We still had faith, we prayed and she was very strong, she endured a lot ”, he lamented.
