After being beaten by his parents, an 11-year-old boy went to a store to ask for help, last Wednesday (21), in the mining town of Patos de Minas. Police were called in to help the boy and the motive for the assault was questioned.
Police found that the boy was beaten for having sex with three children of the family. The boy’s parents were contacted and the victim’s mother explained that the boy had contact with a four-year-old cousin and two other children. So they hit him with a rope.
After the incident, the Guardianship Council was summoned and the case is analyzed. The police will also listen to children who are said to have had sexual relations with the child. The father, who also beat the boy, was not found. Additionally, children will be screened for abuse.
