The Public Ministry of Minas Gerais denounced the councilor Ronaldo Batista (PSC), of Belo Horizonte, as the main person responsible for the murder of Hamilton Dias de Moura (MDB), former councilor of Funilândia. According to the MP, the parliamentarian paid R $ 40 thousand for the crime. Information is from R7.

Last Thursday (15), Batista was arrested by the Civil Police. The investigation indicates that the crime was motivated by a union conflict. Moura died on July 23 with a gunshot to the face and neck while in the car in the capital of Minas Gerais.

Still, according to the MP, the amount was divided between three people, including a soldier from the Military Police. The group set up an ambush to lure the victim. They created a fake profile of a woman named “Vanessa” who would be interested in buying a lot and made a date with Moura.

Upon arriving at the agreed location, the victim was surprised by a couple, who shot the councilman several times. According to the complaint, the Prime Minister would have helped to escape and dispose of the firearm used in the crime.

Union dispute

In addition to being a councilor in Funilândia, Moura was president of Simeclodif (Union of Drivers and Employees of Freight Transport, Transport Logistics and Differentiated Companies in Belo Horizonte and Region). The entity was created from a dissent from the STTRMBH (Union of Transport Workers of the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte), during the administration of Ronaldo Batista.

According to the MP, Simeclodif began to make administrative opposition and “snatch union members and contributions” that were directed at the other union. The entity also initiated legal actions in the Labor Court against the STTRMBH.

In one of the actions, Ronaldo Batista was accused of mismanagement of the union “such as diversion, waste and misappropriation of the entity’s assets, breach of judicial agreement and misappropriation.”
