In the 14th Integrated Police District (DIP) of Manaus, a six-month-old fetus was found in a toilet inside a bathroom.

The case was registered on Friday (16) and, according to the information, the fetus was in the men’s room of the police district.
When found, the fetus still had the umbilical cord and was wrapped in the placenta. According to information from the police station, it is not yet known if the fetus was left there, if there was a spontaneous abortion or how a possible delivery occurred.
The Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Precinct (DEHS) will investigate the case. The fetus was removed from the site by the Medical Legal Institute (IML) and will undergo tests that may aid in the investigation. The authorities still have the support of the district security cameras to understand what happened.
