Despite the advance of the Alto Tietê region to the green phase of the São Paulo Plan, announced on Friday (9) by the Government of São Paulo, the Mogi das Cruzes museums managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture and Tourism will remain closed by renovations.
Among the museums that remain closed are: Mogian Expeditionary Culture and Memory Center, Profa Historical Museum. Guiomar Pinheiro Franco, Pinacoteca de Mogi das Cruzes, Taro Konno Memorial, Visconde de Mauá Historical and Educational Museum and Virtual Museum of Education (MUVE).
The other municipal cultural spaces, such as the Cultural Center and the Theatro Vasques, will have an agenda available again in December, however, according to the municipal administration, the frequency of use of the places will depend directly on the demand by the organizers of actions artistic and cultural.
Also according to the City Council of Mogi das Cruzes, the operation will obey all health guidelines, with the aim of user safety.
The green phase of the SP Plan allows greater flexibility in cultural activities, conventions and social, business and cultural events. In addition to the 60% capacity, the standing public will also be released, provided that the distance and established protocols are respected.
“Each city is establishing its protocols and has the autonomy to define the disclosure of these events, both in the private sphere and in public facilities,” said the president of Condemat (Consortium for the Development of the Municipalities of Alto Tietê) and the Mayor of Guararema, Adriano Leite. .
Municipal cultural spaces and the presence of face-to-face events by the Municipal Secretary of Culture and Tourism have been closed and suspended since March of this year, due to the new coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Virtual museum
Whoever wants to “visit” museums, even behind closed doors, can access the Virtual museum, a tool of the City of Mogi das Cruzes that makes information about the pieces that make up the city’s museum collection available on the Internet.
According to the municipal administration, the secretariat teams have carried out extensive cataloging work on the items that has gradually been supplied to the Virtual Museum. In this way, with a few clicks, people can learn a little more about what each museum keeps in the municipality.
